Male vs. Female vs. Age
It’s probably no surprise that factors like your age and gender can and do affect the rates you can anticipate paying for car insurance in Gainesville, Florida. But, what does the data really show?
A recent study by Data USA found that the average resident age in Gainesville, Florida is 26 years old. What this means, is that a considerable number of motorists in the city could be subject to higher car insurance rates.
To delve into this a bit deeper, check out the table below to see for yourself precisely how your age could either raise or lower your rates for car insurance coverage in Gainesville, Florida.
Age | 17 | 25 | 35 | 60 |

The younger the motorist is, the higher their rates often are. Remember, the median resident age in Gainesville, Florida is 26.
If you glance at the table above again, you’ll see that 25-year old drivers are charged the second highest rates across all age demographics, although not anywhere near as steep as the premiums teen drivers have to contend with.
